The value we place on long-term relationships has been the secret of our success for nearly three decades. Our fresh, common sense approach is driven by the belief that our clients’ needs are dictated not just by the demands of their successful businesses but also by their personal circumstances and individual aspirations. And as Partners who own and manage the practice, we are fellow businesspeople who share those same demands and aspirations.
… is the time and dedication we put into getting to know each and every one of our clients on a one-to-one basis. We pride ourselves on developing precisely the depth of understanding required to offer the calibre of proactive and innovative advice across the board that will genuinely add value and help our clients achieve not only their current but also their long-term goals.
Unlike larger firms Hamlyns doesn’t have separate offices for different disciplines, so we don’t take the departmentalised approach that clients can find an obstacle when it comes to getting things done. We don’t pass clients from pillar to post, depending on what their particular requirement is; we offer a friendly and efficient single point of contact who has the authority to take decisions and the flexibility to pay rapid attention to the issue at hand.
In short, we see ourselves not simply as accountants but as advisers to business. We don’t pretend to know everything about a client’s business – if we did, we’d be manufacturers, or property developers, or retailers – but what we do bring to the party is a real grasp of the challenges and opportunities facing business, and an open-minded, ideas-led and confident approach to the possible options and solutions.
This holistic approach, combined with the breadth and depth of each of our Partners’ experience, enables us to offer the professionalism of a leading London firm with the personal touch and attention to detail of a practice rooted in the local business community. Welcome to Hamlyns.
So whatever your accountancy needs, do get in touch for an informal discussion and find out how we can help you.

Nicky is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. She spent five years with KPMG at its London office, after which she moved into industry in Finance Director roles in the security and aviation sectors. Feeling that her skills were better used in advising clients about their business, she moved back into the accountancy profession, joining Hamlyns in 2002. Nicky acts primarily for SMEs, providing the holistic advice they look for in an accountant. This role not only encompasses audit, accounting and taxation services but also involves assistance with day-to-day issues. Nicky also uses her commercial experience, gained from working in industry, to provide strategic advice to help her clients businesses develop to their full potential. Nicky is the firm’s audit compliance officer, advising clients, fellow partners and staff on audit and accounting issues.
To the delight of her colleagues (and to the detriment of their waistbands), Nicky adores ‘messing around in the kitchen’, especially as the end result so often involves chocolate!
