1. AutoEntry
OCR and invoice recognition for the masses! You can upload scanned images of your purchase and sales invoices, or bank, credit card or supplier statements right into the software. They will be recognised by computer with over 99% accuracy and automatically posted to your cloud accounting software (Sage, Xero, or Quickbooks). If you’re not using cloud accounting yet, they can slo be exported to a file and imported into your desktop accounting software.
2. ReceiptBank
Offering the same service as AutoEntry, but with expenses and purchase invoices (not sales or bank statements, though these are on the way). Receipt bank offer a mobile app so expenses and purchase invoice scanning don’t even need a scanner, you can just use your smartphone, snap a picture and send for processing
3. GoCardless
Set up direct debits for your customers easily online. GoCardless allows you to add direct debit to the list of options to pay an invoice online, or set up so that invoices are auto collected on the due date. Customers are presented with an easy set up screen where they enter their bank details and set up the direct debit online. No more forms, or posting to the bank!
4. Stripe
Stripe offers card payments online straight from your online invoice, which are then processed and delivered to your bank. They take care of all the data protection, so you never touch a customers card details. It integrates beautifully with all of the major accounting systems.
5. Fathom
Reporting in cloud accounting is amazing, and more than sufficient for most small and medium businesses, but when monitoring more advanced metrics such as your operating cycle, or for a more graphical approach with pie charts and graphs, visualizing your performance has never been easy. Great for making monthly reporting easy and giving a managing board more information without complex spreadsheets and pivot tables.
