New Lockdown Grants / Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Sectors

The chancellor has announced further lockdown grants to businesses in hospitality, retail and leisure in the wake of the new national lockdown.

As with previous grants these will be based on the rateable value of properties held by the business.

The one-off top-ups will be granted to closed businesses as follows:

  • £4,000 for businesses with a rateable value of £15,000 or under
  • £6,000 for businesses with a rateable value between £15,000 and £51,000
  • £9,000 for businesses with a rateable value of over £51,000

Another £594m of support will be made available to affected firms outside of these sectors.
