I am delighted and proud to be a partner of Hamlyns, a modern and forward-thinking accoutancy firm. As a general accountancy and business practitioner, I have a wealth of experience looking after a wide range of clients. I have helped numerous organisations with all of their accountancy and business needs including buying, selling and developing their businesses.
I am passionate about helping clients grow and with years of experience to draw on I have helped many achieve great success and wealth.
I trained and qualified with a top 20 central London practice. My work experience includes working in the audit department on larger quoted and international businesses, Lloyds syndicates and shipping companies.
I soon became a partner in a West End practice where I gained many years’ experience managing a portfolio of complex audit clients, including international public companies, lawyers, insurance brokers and investment businesses.
In 1982 I started my own practice. I am really proud to continue to serve SMEs as I have done so throughout my career.
One example of my notable successes is the start-up of Furniture Village plc., which 25 or more years ago I helped produce the business plans for to raise the finance required to open the first few stores. For many years I remained an advisor to Furniture Village and I produced the management accounts for the company.
I am also one of the firm’s senior statutory auditors, which enables me to assist with management issues, staffing and business planning.
I was a governor of the Royal Marsden Hospital, a world-leading cancer centre. I am committed to raising funds for the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and I am very proud to have taken part in the Marsden March.
Over the years I have also been a member of the Leatherhead Round Table where I became both chairman and president. I believe passionately in supporting the local community and I am delighted to have been able to chair a number of fundraising activities through the Round Table to raise money for many local charities.
