HM Revenue and Customs are more determined than ever to claw back money from tax payers. They no longer need to have a specific reason to investigate your personal or business affairs, yet you have to carry the burden of paying for any professional advice, whether or not they find any errors or outstanding tax. In our experience, the cost of the average HMRC investigation into your business or private tax return is over £5,000 in professional fees and, depending on the complexities of your affairs, it can be much higher. We’ve researched this market and we believe the benefits the scheme are best suited to the needs of our clients. In most cases, Croner Taxwise will provide you with the equivalent of up to £100,000 of professional costs per incident, resulting from a written HMRC intervention, including Employer Compliance (PAYE, P11D, NIC) and VAT.

We are an established, close knit firm of Chartered Accountants near Woking, providing specialist advice to entrepreneurial, challenging clients of all shapes and sizes. Due to an increase in workflow and internal promotions, we are now looking to add a bright and ambitious ACA or ACCA trainee to our dynamic team, where you will get exposure to a variety of work including statutory accounts, ad-hoc advisory projects and audit work as well as personal and business tax.
The perfect candidate will be a determined high achiever with the communication skills and personality to liaise with clients professionally, represent Hamlyns and provide the personal and premier service that our clients expect. The successful candidate will be bright, energetic and keen to ask questions and take responsibility for their own workload.

Hamlyns Openspace is a cloud-based solution, meaning there is no software for you to install, run or maintain. You simply access your documents from any location using any browser and approve them at the touch of a button from your smartphone, tablet or laptop. This makes it much easier to fit your “paperwork” into a spare moment when you’re on the move.

Hamlyns Openspace creates a two-way channel:
- We can send you engagement letters, draft accounts, tax returns or financial statements

- Log in with your unique username and password to download and review the items – simply click to approve
- We are notified once you have approved the document
The first step is to set up your user name and password. We will notify you by email from email@example.com that a document is ready for you. This email will contain a link that will allow you to set up a user name and password and download and approve documents. Once your user name and password have been set up you will be able to access your documents via the client portal button on our website.
